When I started dancing, I was an 18 year old who just wanted to build my self-esteem and find a sense of belonging. I was blessed to find that in dance, which led me to start Forever Country. Since then I’ve always had a motivation for why I do what I do.
My why is because I’ve seen that same 18 year old me in so many others over the last 19 years and I want to pour into them that same self-esteem and sense of belonging through a shared love of dance.
Forever Country Dance Fest feels like another milestone on that journey for me. I am hosting this event for the love of dance, the love of growth, and the love of community.

As event director, I realize I have a certain responsibility for the trust you place in me to deliver a satisfying and enriching experience. My commitment to you is that I will do everything I can to maintain that trust.
I am extremely excited to be on this journey, and I am looking forward to connecting with old friends, as well as, the many new friends I am sure we will all make at Forever Country Dance Fest.

There are three highlights I want to touch on that I feel are important for Forever Country Dance Fest:

1. Forever Country Dance Fest Staff
In my 19 years of dancing, I have been blessed to meet so many amazing people. I am working hard to curate what I feel is a first class team to deliver a high quality event experience for you. You will know some of the staff that I announce because of their social media presence, others you won’t, but what I can assure you is that regardless of their online following - they are all well equipped to deliver the highest quality dance instruction, judging, and entertainment.
2. Forever Country Dance Fest Prize Pool
It is important to me to be transparent about where your money goes when registering.
All entry fees for contests will go to the prize pool. I have ordered Molly’s Custom Silver buckles for Advanced division winners and Molly’s Custom Silver pendants for Beginner and Intermediate division winners. Entry fees for contests will go to covering the custom buckle and custom pendant costs, and then all remaining contest entry fees will be used for cash payouts to top placements in each division. We will not be using contest entry fees to pay for any other event related costs.
The Weekend Passes, Competitor Only Passes, and Workshop Only Passes will go to paying for the event space, emcees, instructors, judges, deejays, pizza party, ice cream social, and anything else deemed important to make this a high quality experience for all.
3. Forever Country Dance Fest Ticket Sales
I am hosting this event because I want to offer the best dance experience to as many people as possible without diluting that experience.
If we hit a threshold where I feel any more ticket sales will lessen the experience for confirmed attendees then I will cap sales. This isn’t a “get your tickets while they last!” pitch. I just want you to know that if you commit to come to our event, my goal is to preserve the integrity of that experience for you.

I hope this gives you a glimpse into the passion and thought that has gone into planning Forever Country Dance Fest. It's more than just a weekend of dancing; it's a celebration of everything that makes our community so special—our shared love for dance, our commitment to growth, and the bonds we build along the way.

I can't wait to see you there, to dance with you, and to create memories that will last a lifetime. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just starting out, Forever Country Dance Fest is a place where everyone belongs, where we lift each other up, and where the joy of dance connects us all.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. Together, let's make this an event to remember. See you on the dance floor!
With gratitude and excitement,
Steven Spellman
